Sailor Moon (美少女戦士セーラームーン, Bishōjo Senshi Sērā Mūn, Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi.
One day in Juban, Tokyo, a middle-school student named Usagi Tsukino befriends Luna, a talking black cat who gives her a magical brooch enabling her to transform into Sailor Moon: a guardian destined to save Earth from the forces of evil. Luna and Usagi assemble a team of fellow Sailor Guardians to find their princess and the Silver Crystal.
Helios (祭司エリオス, Saiji Eriosu) is the Guardian Priest of Elysion, a sacred land within Earth that protects it and was the original location of the Golden Kingdom before it rose to the surface. When the Dead Moon Circus conquered Elysion, Helios was captured and Queen Nelehenia transformed him into the alicorn Pegasus (一角天馬ペガサス, Pegasasu)
